The alarm was set for 5.30 and I had every intention of being in and out of the gym by 7am…well as I never got to sleep before 12.30…I turned off the alarm and never actually got up until 8am
…I did however manage to make dinner, have beds made, laundry all done(well washed) hovering done and a little bit of exercise before 10am.
Ok so it was only a chili made in the slow cooker/crockpot..that was actually finished a few hours later.
Bed are only duvets.
I have a big washing machine so I can get a lot in each load
Hoovering was only done downstairs….
The exercise was the homework from Bubbles and TBL….easy peavey..NOT!!!!
……….But the bannister is still in place and the oxygen tank was not needed!

Oh yeah and I went to the drugstore and bought some dressings for G's leg…while away (playing soccer) he hurt his leg and he has a huge graze….Well I went to the store…I found the dressings…but what I wanted to buy and what was there might have been two different things….So one of the staff said Hello in English…so I pounced on this and tried to explain what i needed….She was not quite getting it!…I tried explaining a graze and that it was weeping…So I got out my trusty translator on my phone….I wrote graze…she had no idea…I wrote weeping….She asked if I was crying…REALLY…do i look like I am crying????….
So i look up a graze picture and after a few humms are ahhhhhs she got it….I found some Western brands which was close to the same price as filling my car up with petrol and she let me know it was not a good choice…I think the look and sound she made actually made me realize she was not impressed with the over priced western brand….What she gave me I think we needed tape as well….Oh the choices…white, clear, brown thick, thin, expensive or cheap…..REALLY!!!! I wanted tape arrggghhhh!!!!!!

I had lunch with GL, she brought me a beautiful picture frame. I just need a picture now of the both of us in there…problem is I DONT DO PHOTOGRAPHS!!!
Also had our 13th session of Brownies…(can't believe we have only done 13 sessions…seems a lot more!)

I did also find my backside dent in the sofa and got comfy…while watching Cranford..I am a sucker for a period drama……..

My plan for tonight is to actually go to sleep earlier and get up earlier and have everything done before J goes to school, because I am actually going to the gym tomorrow as I have no choice….I will be there I promised…..REALLY I did…ANY NEED…Should have fibbed and said I could not make it..

Ok I am back again..….G is back for his little trip….brought back HP brown sauce so I am happy!

I had high hopes for today….but my I felt a real pull towards the sofa!!!! I was all comfy…I knew I should not be sat there…watching the end of Officer and a Gentleman….which was actually in English!!! and not dubbed in Japanese like all the other movies I wanna watch are…The ones I don't want to watch are ALL ways in English….Then I spilt a bottle of FREEZING cold water over myself…not even that really moved me….I did move but as I took so long pneumonia could be starting to set in….
Pages read in the book I am meant to read? ZERO!!!!!
….But I did cook dinner….I peeled and chopped veg!!!!
Roast dinner was the planned idea for dinner tonight with roast pork….
Veg sorted, potatoes par boiled…Gravy taken out of freezer..because I knew making gravy would not be the top of my list after making the rest of the dinner..I mean I would have made it…but well I always have gravy made up in the freezer…Well the pork was off…REALLY it was..it STANK! it was minting!!!! …I mean come on ANY NEED????? Right pain…so the chicken that was meant for tomorrows dinner was VERY QUICKLY cooked (well done Wend taking the chicken out and thinking you where going to do more than you ACTUALLY planned on doing!) …..
The chicken was ok…but I WANTED A ROAST PORK DINNER!!!!

More self diagnoses and more internet surfing today….hummmmm I love the internet…You know when people find something new and go a little bit crazy or over the top until it wears off…Bit like me and Pinterest last month! or when people get Facebook and they decided that everyone wants to know EVERYTHING they have done that day….Yeah I was one of those people…and I bet you where also!!!!! Well thats me and the internet surfing….Did you know you can learn how to knit something for a stone/rock….honest you can…there is video to show you how.
So lately I have had problems with peoples names….people who I known for almost 2 years….Now I live in a very small community, so its not like I never see them….One day last week I called somebody Katie….KATIE???? I don't think there is anyone called Katie here and the ladies name does even sound like Katie…….Now….I actually think I maybe could remember…but my lovely friends here tell me the name of the person …I think because they want me to actually hurry up and finish my story….I do gets the names right sometimes….Well……I decided to look this up….and there is a name for it…but I can't find the page/link I found….and that was not meant to be funny…I REALLY can't!
…but I did find a page, that says new research suggests the mere act of walking through a door helps people forget……Now, I thought VODKA helped you forget.
I have walked through a few thousand doors I should image, kitchen doors living room doors, Mall entrance doors, bathroom doors (and the bathrooms in this house has 2 doors in each bathroom, ) Plane doors, church doors, patio doors …so your getting my point…Well, I can tell you now no door has EVER had the effect on that Vodka, wine and paint stripper has had … I have been served I image taste like paint stripper would. In fact, I can't remember walking through a door and forgetting I forgot something…or just maybe I just forgot I forgot…..

Oh yeah…..I did remember half of one the things I wanted to write in my last blog…when J and myself where in one of the local sports stores here…I noticed a sign on something (can't remember what it was…i know duh!!!!) it was something like…BUT NOT!!! don't touch irons when turned on as they could be hot!!! "REALLY Sherlock?" but whatever it was…it was more obvious and more ridiculous …Just wish I could remember what it was….I mean I have a phone with a camera for goodness sake, I should have taken a picture of it…
I mean I know you will never get back the 10 secs it might have taken to read this paragraph…but I had to mention I sorta half remembered something….and I did not walk backwards through a door to remember half of what I wanted to remember!

Tomorrow I will either do more homework…but I am slightly worried about the bannister…I mean I know the house contract mentions general wear and tear, but bannisters pulled off the wall when doing homework exercises might not cut it!!!!!
Or I might go to the gym......Or I might go find my backside imprint on the sofa....or just to mix things up I might go make a new imprint on the other sofa after exercise!!!!!

So i started writing this a week ago….REALLY I did… And I keeping thinking…oooooo I need to add that to my blog…but I forgot what I wanted to write about…well mostly I forgot.

Today (last Sunday) at lunch it was mentioned about the start of my keep fit/get healthy….I felt the the shutters coming down and the glazed look appearing….
Not that I don't want to start the fitness going…but I mean come on why can't I go to the gym and lose say…I don't know 10lbs at each session….maybe…I mean come on!!!!
…So I was given homework…really I was…they gave me homework…well I did some of it it…well half of it and I was convinced I was dying…REALLY I am surprised I managed to pick up the computer to type about it!!!
Then I managed to do more home work on Monday…I honestly thought I was dying and that when I was holding onto the bannister for dear life that the bannister would come away from the wall!!! REALLY I did…I mean the houses are only made of paper marche and plaster board…well ok maybe a few bricks, and I do mean only a few and it is insulated with single ply toilet roll. Nothing really behind the houses here!
I did survive…just !!!!

Mr. Hook was not able to play….it was reported he had chickenpox…did he really or did somebody higher up on the Wales management team feel the same as me…he should NOT be on that pitch!!!!!

Well I have thought a lot about going to the gym this week,…but I only thought of it. I mean come on Wend, ANY NEED?
I have also meant to start a book 'The American Wife'….Well I have carried it around with me with the intention of starting to at least read the first page…So far I have read ZERO pages!
Out of my 1000 jobs I have needed to do I have managed….Ooooooo ZERO jobs….
……….I have also managed to make my sofa into a memory sofa…you know like the memory foam stuff thats around…My sofa remembers my backside….I know because there is a backside print there just from me….i think it because I sat there for nearly a whole week watch TV….REALLY I did.

I went bowling last night….Ohhhhh my. I did manage to get the ball down the lane, I did manage ALSO to HURT myself. My poor arm….Well I figured with all that I DON'T do it not a surprise I have not used those mussels in forever..…I mean I can't really do a 'Big Shop' here as they would say back home where I could use those muscles …I don't even think you can get proper trolleys/shopping carts…you get a little cart that can hold 2 yes 2 not 1 store plastic shopping basket. and you can't get much in those…also there is only so much money you can get out to pay for the ridiculously priced food…I am sure our first sofa never cost as much as the the beef here came cost…REALLY. so …back to the arm muscles…as I don't get to really food shop and carry bags, for example. I mean if I drank like I did in my younger days that might make a difference…lifting my arm and a double is heavier than a single…..getting my different???
……..So we start the 2nd game and I dropped the ball…it rolled backwards….The pain was quite intense, not because of the ball dropping but because of my poor arm , (between my wrist and elbow, but inside if you know what I mean???)..So I have self diagnosed that I have carpel tunnel syndrome….I mean, why not…it sounds as if carpel tunnel syndrome is kinda of in that area…Any way much better today…but may be in future I should warm up for around a month before bowling next time…maybe start light with an egg and work up to a tin of beans…and so on to a bowling ball….

Youtube has been on my pc a lot this weekend….why I have no idea….It is ABSOLUTELY unbelievable what people actually put on there…you can learn how to peel a potato, how to comb your hair…how to burst a pimple….
I mean come on…ANY NEED!!!!!
I now need to thing of the strangest things I can look up…because I am betting its will be on Youtube!

I am finally catching up on the blog….G is out there playing in a soccer tournament in horrible nasty cold rain and I sat in the warm with a good view of the pitch.
So I can actually say .."Yes i did see the the games" and so I won't be telling fibs…But I can honestly tell you…I have not taken any notice…I can tell you the oppersite team is currently wearing pink…baby pink!…But that is about it…as far as goals and such I 'm not interested and don't care…well not until they all come in and warm up and have their lunch and i will try and put the yeah, and really's and fantastic's in all the right places.

We are back from Guam, the day after we arrived back I went to do a little shopping in one of the local stores and I knew I was back…..The smell of over cooked roasted Asian sweet potatoes…Come on REALLY…you have to burn EVERY batch???? You can't clean that machine….I think you can….or even get a new one…because let me tell you …it stinks
Why I go to that store I have no idea…oh yes i do…because it it the cleanest looking…not that the others are not clean there are older and minging…REALLY!
Then I go over to a little convince store later in the day and get some money out of the ATM (the machine offers english…more than some of the banks here…REALLY!) and the smell of pungent boiled fish water hits you before you even get to the doors…again..ANY NEED????
There is a metal contain on each counter with about 8 sections and food on sticks are placed in the water to cook/keep warm….The smell…(I am actually feeling sick just typing about this) is disgusting…absolutely minging! REALLY, there is no NEED!

So…. the morning we travelled to Guam I seemed to have a complete melt down on the way to the airport…just before i drove onto the highway, I was convinced that I had left my wallet…G always tells me if you have your passport and purse you will be fine…so thinking I had left my wallet sent me into a right panic…Well I did have my wallet…and while I was checking I also made sure I had our passports….for the 96th time!!!!
Well we drive to Narita, no traffic…even though whenever I seen red lights ahead I was convinced there was traffic and we would not make it to the airport….but we did.
I called the car company, they EVENTUALLY came and collected the car…off we went and checked in to what looked like the longest line in history…it wasn't but it was close I am sure. we get on the plane….and we have the aisle and the middle seat. The women who is sat next to the window, THINKS she is getting my aisle seat…She did think wrong, REALLY she did.
She must have thought that she was going to sit with the 3 women who were oppersite her. Well let me tell you….it was NOT happening..REALLY it was not! I don't sit in the middle seat and I especially DONT sit in the window seat…REALLY I don't!!!!
Off we fly, we land in Guam…lovely weather…went into our hotel. We were told we were upgraded…upgraded! REALLY, what planet did she think I was coming from?
Later in the evening I asked about the upgrade…I asked what we could have possibly upgraded from…a shack? Well I asked to see a down grade and funnily enough we were shown a upgrade…bigger and cleaner room. While the other room was not dirty as such…nothing removing EVERYTHING from the room, blasting the room with something ( no idea what but something) then bringing fresh paint and furniture and lovely fresh pressed bedding would make a million times better.
Well….the weather was lovely while we were there, the ocean was beautiful, J had fun, I relaxed…If G had been there it would have been perfect…REALLY I mean that, if G had been there it would have.
On the way back, the plan was G would land one hour before J and myself and he would get the car and we would all drive back together.
We sat on the plane and we waited to take off…and we waited and we waited.
People were allowed off the plane while they waited for somebody from the US to send a fax to say that it was ok to fly. We were told that it was 4am in the US so that was the delay…so I am guessing no 24 hour help desks…because planes only fly 9-5 US times…WHATEVER!
I sent G a message, hoping he would pick it up when he landed. he managed to call me to tell me he had landed an hour early..Wonderful..NOT
Which meant I would be driving home from Narita…come on ANY NEED!!! …Well we are back and we had a great time…REALLY even with my complaining we did

Man I have been good this week, I made bread..well the machine did…I made beef stew and it was eaten and I was asked for more!!! I also made yogurt and it is on its way to being Greek yogurt….
Go me!!!!

I have also decided this week that all Starbucks flavor drinks are toooo sweet. I was excited to see a new flavor, it was orange creme brûlée….it is MINGING!!!! yuck…Then I ordered another drink a couple of days later and a couple of ladies had a taste and they were like that is sweet…I typed that as I pulled the face I had when i started drinking the drink….So I might just have to stick with water.

Not long and we are off to Miami…while I can't wait as I have never been to Miami, I am not looking forward to the long journey for such a short time. J will love it…I will love that he loves it…J and G will take the traveling in their stride…I will COMPLAIN to anyone and everyone!

Seems we will be doing a fair bit of traveling this year…well we need to keep the old air miles ticking over. Also trying to add another trip within in a trip…Kinda of mentioned it to G and then keep mentioning it in front of people when G is around…hoping he takes the bait….not biting yet…but I will keep trying…I REALLY should take the bull by the horns and say we are going here…but I have found that does not always work…
A very wise women whom I don't have a blog name for…But I could call her LessCarbsK once told me…don't say this or that let them think its their idea….and I have tried that on occasions and it REALLY does work…but sometimes I don't have the time…not I don't have the time..It's more I CAN"T wait!!!
I will say he has not said no…but the tickets have not been booked….you can see where I am coming from right?

So I told G I would move to Alaska in a heart beat….I REALLY mean it. I love the idea of the REAL winters…Maybe I have read one to many books.
…Well let me tell you there is absolutely no need to be there…Japan is cold…so is Alaska
but…the inside of our house might make Alaska seem like Tropics, REALLY there is NO need.
This afternoon with ALL the heating blasting (if you can call it heating) I still had to sit there with a blanket. This from the person who only bought a winter coat because all her friends were… Thank goodness I did. I was wondering if I would need to start wearing my coat to bed.
Last year we had a winter duvets 1 blanket and one comforter on the bed Plus the sheets.
This year one duvet, one comforter and as of tonight one blanket…with another waiting close by!

This morning I was up early for basketball….nice start to the morning…no over sleeping…
Then….Jamie had no hot water in his bathroom…AGAIN (It was meant to be fixed yesterday)
Then…a shake…a big shake, great start to a freezing cold day.
So AFTER the quake, I get an alert on my phone to tell me not one. not two, but 3 earthquakes are coming…Hummm REALLY Sherlock!…just a little late!
I have had enough…The house is creaking and making more noise's than is possible needed…
NO MORE I mean come on!!! I have had enough…REALLY I am done.

So G has been away 3 days so only 17 to go…
When he mentioned how long he was going away, I said hummmm thats not right…thats 3 weeks…oh no he said I that is travel time as well…REALLY, you might be traveling but you will NOT be here!!!! 3 weeks matey 3 weeks.
Shopping list on its way…Just need to press send!

Today we went out for dinner, met some friends…So we WALKED there…yes I did say i walked…Yes there was parking…AND it was my idea, then we walked back. so 2 days walking not far, but a big start for me…both days MY idea…only two days of a little bit of walking…but I am heading in the right direction, right?
…Dinner had no wheat…great, REALLY it is great, no stomachache…Yayyyyy

And I type this…the house is STILL creaking, ENOUGH ALL READY…REALLY any need?!?!?

I can't tell you how happy I was to realize it was friday…until I realized J had to be at school tomorrow by 8.30…REALLY any need?????
It's been a long week…REALLY it has…its REALLY does seem longer than the normal 7days!

The Costume party was awesome. The costumes were all awesome. There were a few wigs worn…The Expat wife costume was awesome…TBL I loved it…as did everyone else.
There was a take on Superman…which was fab…a couple of cat women…

G went away this week for 3 weeks…this week…I have been told he WON'T be shopping…hummm So I gather as I never gave him a shopping list I am wondering how he will react when he gets my email with the shopping list attached…REALLY there is no need to shop…yeah whatever!

a couple of times over the years I have thought about learn sign language.
I have thought about it again lately…maybe because i have been watching the show, switched at birth…(show about 2 kids swapped at birth, one child being deaf…loving the show…not the deaf child bit, but the storyline)
I did notice though that sometime they spell words out instead signing the whole word…well may be I should give sign a miss because my spalling is rubbish as you might have noticed…
…but if I could learn to sign without spelling, think I might…just need to find somewhere or someone in Japan that will teach me.


Normally G take J to school early on basketball mornings and I go with them and the I walk home.
Well as he is not here, I am talking J to school. So the walking has been off.
Well today I got off my backside and went walking..big winter coat…exercise, well yo would think that I would warm up quickly right?…..WRONG! REALLY, I was freezing!….but i did manage to get of my backside.
I also managed to do some house work…Don't know which I disliked more, the exercise or the housework…REALLY I have no idea.

Last time I wrote I meant to tell you about my bus adventure…..
So I was booked to have a nice relaxing facial, I decided that I would not take the car because parking is a nightmare. So off I go to the bus stop….I know I could pretty much take any bus that was going in that direction..(well Yokohama is not the biggest place in the world) I get on with my travel card, swipe the card..( look at me blending in…NOT!!!!) Then I go and stand and reply and send text messages….Then it happens…..The creepy voice…..
When you get on the bus here, you will notice that the bus drivers have a microphone with an ear piece….Then at every stop with a creep heavy breathing muffled voice the bus driver will tell you the stop you're at….Let me tell you…I am almost positive in most countries the driver would be arrested for the way he talking……it REALLY gives you the creeps..Still shivering! ( not just this driver but all the drivers sound the same….I wonder if you dont have a creepy enough voice if they give you lessons)
So I am on the bus…with the bus driver with the creepy voice, when the driver must have been lost…cause he was not going in the direction I WANTED!!!!…..REALLY he was not!…So the bus is jam packed. I notice that almost everyone is getting off. I look up and notice its the local hospital. I then notice than 98% of the passengers are around 70 years plus….So I guess that Fridays are over 70's day at the local hospital….REALLY NOBODY looked under 70 …so they could have actually be close to 100 years old…Because NO Asians look their actual age…if they look 20 you can normally add at least up to 50 years on. No idea how they look so good, but I am guessing it was more than Olay products!!! REALLY!!!
So I finally notice the driver has remembered where he is meant to be going and he is heading in the direction I WANT TO GO!!!.
I get off the bus and start walking to my appointment.
I have a 90 minute facial booked…I get in there. I am happy (REALLY I AM!) she has already made the blend she will be using…perfect…just the right amount of citrus…see, REALLY….perfect.
Then she says…You are entitled to an extra 20 minute FREE head massage….Hummm ok…110 minutes of PURE relaxation…REALLY, I mean how awesome is that…made up for the creepy voice…which I had gotten over, but know I have mentioned it is sending new shivers of absolute repulsiveness down my spine……yuck!!!!

Tomorrow we are off to a fancy dress/costume party….The theme is Super Hero's….
after a lot of thinking and coming up with NOTHING….I told the host I had no idea what to wear…she said just wear a cape….So this got me thinking for a nano second, with led me to thinking about everything else under the sun other than superhero costumes….Then for some bizzare reason Super Nanny came into my mind…..I thought I can go as her…
That Tv show she is on makes out she is some sorta super nanny…Super Nanny my backside…But….I can go with the idea some people think she is a SUPER NANNY…
So it wont take a lot for me to resemble her…She is large..(so am I)
She is a Brit….(so am I…I just have a nicer accent!) We have the same length hair…(different colours, but a wig will sort that out)
She wears a certain tailored blue shirt…(I have the exact same one..just mine one belongs to me!)
She thinks she is good with kids…(I know I am crap with with kids!)
We both wear glasses…and we have the same lip gloss…and I am sure we have one of those small potable DVD players around somewhere…See all sorted…I am impressed with myself that I focused for that long, to find an idea for a costume. REALLY I am.

Been back at that Indian …still not on first name terms…but he finished off my order…

Miss Wiliams came over for a cuppa this week. I lover spur of the moment arrangements.
Makes for a nice surprise in what can be just another boring day waiting in for the maintence man who speaks NO ENGLISH (fair enough we are in Japan) but who seems to think if he repeats the same Japanese sentence 20 times I will eventually understand…WRONG…I have enough problems understand English.

My hearing is getting worse. It is getting to the stage that I cant hear 50% of what people are saying when talking to me on the phone. I am alsohaving trouble hearing what people are saying who are in the same room as me. I am finding I need to see their faces…Not taht always helps as I am as blind as a bat even with the glasses.

Tomorrow J is playing Basktball in Tokyo. He needs to be at school by 7.30am Well G has decided he is going to watch…not that it took much thinking on G's behalf, he goes to every even that Jamie is in if he is here.
So my problem is…do I go or do I stay at home and watch TV…I think I might surprise them and go with them.
