I have 7 followers….Wooo hooo…Thank you!

Well I am not impressed!!!
I have cut out soda, walked and walked, also been to see Dan the Man and I put on weight!!!
I mean ANY NEED? REALLY!!!!
This week I have cut out soda, and junk food, I have not snacked…I have drunk enough water to fill the local swimming pool…(my poor bladder) and Nada…not a ounce has come off….won’t even mention how much went on!!!!
So last night while I was at the ‘royal wedding, I drank a little bit of cola and enjoyed every last drop!

This week has been a good week, had book club Monday…hummm that might have been the Monday before but felt like this week…hummm
I also had lunch with Bubbles, The Bag lady and another lady that I have yet to have a name for.
Went to costco with the rest of Japan..surprising how many people Costco can fit in that building!
Seen the Golden Lady, Received a beautiful picture from GMoJ but that could have been last week as well….hummmm ….I think it Saturday today…well G’s alarm hasn’t blared it must be!
Went to Ikea with The Bag lady, Mrs. H and the Golden Lady, had my meatballs….(seems they now do 3 portion sizes of balls…who knew????
Then last night I attended a screening of the Royal Wedding.
……How marvelous was that wedding?????I am not a wedding person normally..but I was impressed. My backside never hurt from seating to long, The bride looked radiant….I mean they had to let her spend some money after he gave her a second had engagement ring…and not a lucky ring at that!.....I mean come on who really would want a second hand ring that ended in divorce….nice ring and all but come on Will’s get with the programme here. I would have been smiling as well through gritted teeth thinking is that all I am worth a second hand ring!!!! Call me materialist but come on I would want my own ring! It would not even have had to have been as big.
Will’s saying he wanted his mother to be part of it all…get a life sized cardboard cutout love and she can be with you all times….Oh Will’s I am not sure if you are just a sweetheart or cheap…I am hoping for the sweetheart.
I attended the Royal Wedding with Mrs. H and we sat my Bubbles, The Bag lady and Mrs. N
I wore my two tiaras, one with beautiful blue designer plastic gems and white fluffy stuff and one with kinda of wings…I also had a special wand that lit up…and I bestowed many good things on people with that 100Yen wand, I am also sure I might hit a few people with that wand as well, accidently of course…
It was a real effort to take off those tiara thingy’s when I got to bed…not because I wanted to keep them but because they had gotten tangled…Arrrggghhhhhhh

This morning at 6.30 am….I was up and dressed and out the door. I went walking, iPod blaring (Poison and Bon Jovi got me through the walk this morning) So by 7.30 car collected, 3400 steps over a Kilometer walked and Then home to marinate chicken, cut up fruit, laundry on, dish washer unloaded and now waiting to clean the cars inside and out….I am on a role!!!!! GO ME!!!!

Another silly wake up time…just after 5am…I mean REALLY, ANY NEED???? I think not!
I as I knew I was not going back to sleep I head downstairs to finish reading my book…not my Kindle but my book as I have soooo many books to read before our next move. My goal is to have only 2 boxes of books instead of what seems like 20 plus….
G comes down for breakfast and he puts the TV to one of the News channels. As I finished my book but scanning the book club questions at the back and not really taking in the questions…I hear the weather man say the F word…which he quickly changes to back up…I am like hummm REALLY!!!!!

Today is my second day of no soda’s….. blah!
How long will I get only drinking water…Told Mrs. H NOTHING expect water….Oh no what will I do at Costco?????
I went walking last night while J decided he was going to run…He ran circles around me!!!!
I went out again this morning for another 20 minute walk; I will go out again tonight and do another walk…
I need to find that app on the phone that shows your walking distance…Might make me feel better …I truly doubt it but I will try and see.

While typing my blog for today the door bell rang. I open the door to see a young women who has walked straight from the 60‘s to modern day….I swear she did. She had long white leather boots with pointy toes, she has a big sixties style cream beret, and a short cream white sixties style coat, with long flowing hair…holding a Jehovah witness pamphlet (in English)….
Now I have Jehovah witnesses come to my door in ALL countries we have lived (well all but one)
And you know what...They always have English pamphlets…..I mean how forward thinking is that??????
I wonder how many languages they have their pamphlets written in?

I am getting extremely excited to be going on my holidays…if I have not mentioned that already….

Dinner is made for tonight already,…Well I say that…it was made last night and they are having leftovers!

I had better get moving…I was was meant to be somewhere 23 minutes ago…

April 24, 2011

Since we have gotten back we have had an interesting time…..
Searching out and buying only imported foods.
It has also been decided that I have enough water to fill the local pool!

The first week back we had the biggest quake I had felt since the ‘big one’ which brought tears to my eyes. It was a 7.4 and a big one….we all go outside and watch Mrs. H slim conifer tree SWAY back and forth. I call G who is home in the next street and he says all’s good here he tells me and then goes on to tell me that he is watching the house sway.
To say I was slightly freaked out is putting it mildly. We have also found out our house was built to withstand an 8+ ….. Not that we want to see just what it can withstand!!!!!
Needing to leave the house late at night when just nodding off to sleep is not fun!!!!!
Every creak, noise and movement I am convinced it is another Quake…small or big.
G has been told he is not to bounce his leg while I am sat on the sofa with him and I was on ultra alert because I thought it was ANOTHER one.
I know have the app (all in Japanese) to let me know there might be another quake in 20 secs…I had to set it quite high or it was going off a lot…(don’t need English, just the alarm to warm me!!!!)
I also seem too addicted to the Japanese metrology site to see what happened during each night. Well not just to check what happened during the night, but whenever I think we have had another

The Friday of J’s first week back at school we were at home, all settled for the night…well I thought we were until J says ‘I have left my iPod in Mrs. H’s car. So I call Mrs. H as we need the IPod for the following day, lots of errands to run and J is coming with us and even at near 12 we get ‘I am bored, How much longer or can we go????’ so we walk round to Mrs. H who is getting ready to leave. J and Mrs. H check the car, no sign of it. So J says I think it might have gone down the drain, now with any other child I would have said really, you think that might have happened…with J I was REALLY, only you could do that!!!!
So we are looking down the drain and Mrs. H, J and Miss G (who has now joined the looking down the drain) and myself and they all think they can see it….A torch is brought out to check…I am still not convinced I can see what they are seeing…but we are talking about J and his iPod and as we all know what J is like, who am I am to question. So I lift this big metal drain cover which is not only heavy but extremely smelly!!!!!
Mrs. H says I have something that we need; I am thinks maybe pegs for our noses???? She comes back with a garden rake and she starts fishing for an iPod that will by know be ruined. All we find apart from a bigger smell is lots of leaves. The one neighbor is looking out of her window by now….well no iPod to be found… I tell J to go look again…while I am putting the drain down and wanted desperately to watch my hands I say goodnight to Mrs. and Miss G and promise I will call if it is found…I am not holding out any hope. As they drive off here comes J running around the corner with iPod in hand…seems it was in his pocket all the time…..oh dear, ARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!

This week we had a cookie exchange. I made haystack and Rocky road and I also made a huge monkey bread which I first had when we were staying with the Queen. It went down well…maybe a little too well…lol Lots and lots of beautiful tasty cookies , my sugar high and sugar come down was not the best!!!!
We also had dinner with some evacuees this week. We were asked if we could bring some fruit. So along with many other we took oranges, apples and bananas, one of the little girl was asked what her favourite fruit was and she replied PINEAPPLE, there was no pineapples 
I gave J some packets of pencils and some colouring books to hand out to the children.
Next week Mrs. H and I are going to where the families are staying going to do help with the washing. Even then I am not actually doing it the washer and drier is……

So this week I think we have pretty much finalized our holidays…..I can’t wait to see family and friends
I am thinking of all the things that J could do between now and then…Do I not let the kid out? Do I not let the kid play ANY sport? May be I should not allow him to use the stairs. I mean he has fallen down them.

This year J is actually getting British Easter eggs from us…..first time in a very long time…was he interested when he came down this morning…NO he wanted to know when he could start buying
apps…I mean REALLY….So I said do you know what Easter is about? To my utter surprise he did….So I have done something right!!!!

So Ham is in the oven, pavlova made and decorated….Am I good or what????

Happy Easter
